For many families, buying a home is about more than a transaction. It’s about creating stability, putting down roots, and building something that can carry forward to the next generation.

At LeaderOne Financial, Spanish-speaking borrowers can find support from bilingual mortgage professionals across our organization. The Generaciones Team takes that commitment a step further with a team built around serving Spanish-speaking homebuyers and creating an experience centered on education, understanding, and personal connection.

Serving homebuyers throughout Illinois, Indiana, Florida, and Wisconsin, Generaciones provides more than Spanish-language support. The team helps borrowers understand their options, know what comes next, and feel comfortable asking questions throughout the mortgage process.

More Than Translation

Mortgage terminology can be complicated in ANY language. For someone navigating financing in a language they aren’t completely comfortable with, it can become an unnecessary barrier.

Pauline Garcia, Sales Manager with the Generaciones Team, has spent 29 years in the mortgage industry. For her, one of the most important parts of serving a client is making sure they understand the process.

“I want borrowers to understand the mortgage process in their language and not have to open a dictionary just to understand a word, so they are comfortable with the next steps,” Pauline says.

The Generaciones Team can communicate with borrowers in Spanish and provide Spanish-language support and resources during portions of the mortgage process.

More importantly, clients know who they can call. They can ask questions in Spanish and receive answers they understand from someone they know and trust.

Education Comes First

For the Generaciones Team, the relationship starts with education.

Pauline’s nearly three decades of mortgage experience includes previous work with the Illinois Housing Development Authority, giving her valuable experience with homebuyer programs and resources.

Ricardo Navarette, Loan Officer, brings 14 years of mortgage industry experience and has seen how education can turn a single transaction into a long-term relationship.

“Sometimes a borrower isn’t ready to purchase a home when the first conversation happens. Rather than ending the conversation there, the team helps them understand what may need to happen next.” - Ricardo.

That could mean discussing credit, exploring a co-borrower, reviewing down payment assistance, or identifying other steps toward becoming mortgage-ready.

“We try all the options before there is any ‘no,’” Pauline says.

Finding the Right Path to Homeownership

No two families have exactly the same financial story, so the Generaciones Team works to understand each borrower’s situation and explore available financing options.

Down payment assistance is an important resource for many of the buyers they serve. The team can also help eligible borrowers explore specialized financing, including certain ITIN and bank statement loan programs.

Having access to ITIN financing options through LeaderOne allows the team to stay more closely involved in the process rather than automatically having to send the loan outside the company.

For self-employed borrowers, bank statement programs may provide another potential path when traditional income documentation doesn’tfully reflect how they earn their income.

The first step isn’t assuming which loan someone needs. It’s understanding their story.

Why Generaciones?

Generaciones means generations, and the name represents what the team hopes homeownership can help families build.

One generation purchases a home. A family puts down roots and grows. Years later, the next generation may begin thinking about a home of their own.

For the team, that means serving the past, present, and future and becoming a mortgage resource families know they can return to. path when traditional income documentation doesn’t fully

A Resource for Real Estate Partners, Too

That commitment also extends to real estate professionals and community partners who serve Spanish-speaking homebuyers.

The Generaciones Team can be a resource for partners who want to connect Spanish-speaking clients with mortgage professionals who can communicate directly with them, answer their questions, and provide individual guidance throughout the financing process.

It gives partners another resource for ensuring their clients have a place where they can comfortably ask questions and better understand their mortgage options.
