Closed my first mortgage loan a little more than 40 years ago 

One of the last originators still standing from before the invention of fax machines. I have worked with mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers & banks. Years of experience charting the bond market.

Throughout my career, I have been amazed at the technological renaissance our industry has implemented. I started with an accounting & finance degree from DePaul University and a dream. I offered a fiduciary relationship to my cients  offering low or no cost refinances when it wasn’t fashionable to do so. I learned that part of something is better than all of nothing. And my clients reciprocated by referring their family & friends. I developed relationships built on trust and closing the tougher deals before automated underwriting systems became the norm. I still love teaching & educating . There is no better feeling than to receive a referral from a satisfied past client for their son or daughters first home purchase. Bottom line I still love what I do.

But I am most proud of my daughter Elizabeth who works with Leader One Financial as an originating partner with a dozen or so loan originators  She is considered by many as “best in class” within our industry. While it is said by some that AI will take over our jobs.

I still think there is value making house calls and working with first time homebuyers to alleviate their fears and apprehensions.
